Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Casa Florio. These terms and conditions govern all orders placed through our online shop casaflorio.ch. Please read them before ordering.
1. Scope and contracting party
These terms and conditions apply to all orders placed through the online shop casaflorio.ch. Your contracting party is Casa Florio Schweiz, [PLATZHALTER: street and no., postcode, town], UID [PLATZHALTER: CHE number], email info@casaflorio.ch (hereinafter “Casa Florio”, “we”). By placing an order you accept these terms in the version published at the time of your order. Any deviating terms of the customer do not apply.
2. Products, offer and conclusion of contract
The presentation of products in the shop is not a binding offer but an invitation to order. By submitting your order you make a binding offer to purchase. The contract is concluded when we confirm your order by email. We may decline orders, in particular if a product is unavailable or the delivery address lies outside our delivery area; in that case any payment already received is refunded promptly.
Our salumi are handcrafted natural products without preservatives. Shape, colour and appearance vary from piece to piece; this is intended and not a defect. Products are sold as whole vacuum sealed pieces, never sliced. Stated piece weights are approximate and are to be understood as minimum weights: the delivered piece weighs at least the stated weight, and any extra weight is not charged.
3. Prices
All prices are in Swiss francs (CHF). No value added tax is shown, as Casa Florio is currently not registered for Swiss VAT. For piece prices with a weight indication we also show the unit price per 100 g. The price shown in the shop at the time of the order applies. Shipping costs per clause 5 are added and are displayed in the cart and at checkout before you complete the order.
4. Payment and retention of title
We accept TWINT, credit and debit cards and PostFinance. Payment is processed by our Swiss payment provider (Payrexx AG) and is due when the order is placed. Goods are dispatched after receipt of payment and remain the property of Casa Florio until paid in full.
5. Delivery and shipping
We deliver throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein. Shipping costs depend on the cart value:
Cart value up to CHF 49.99: shipping CHF 19.90
Cart value from CHF 50.00 to CHF 158.99: shipping CHF 9.90
Cart value from CHF 159.00: free shipping
So that your parcel never spends a weekend in transit, we dispatch only Monday to Wednesday. Orders received by Sunday evening usually leave our refrigerated warehouse in Zurich between Monday and Wednesday of the following week; delivery normally takes 1 to 2 working days from dispatch. Products travel vacuum sealed in insulated packaging, with cooling elements in the warm months. In August shipping pauses entirely; orders received during that time are dispatched after the pause in the order received. Stated delivery times are estimates, not guaranteed dates.
6. No right of return for perishable food
Swiss law does not provide a general right of withdrawal or return for online purchases. In addition, our products are perishable food and are therefore excluded from return and exchange. In place of a right of return we give you our freshness promise under clause 7.
7. Our freshness promise
If something does not arrive as it should, for example with damaged packaging, significantly late or in less than perfect condition, send us a photo together with your order number to info@casaflorio.ch within 24 hours of delivery. We will replace the product or refund the price, no questions asked. The freshness promise applies in addition to your statutory rights and does not limit them.
8. Duty to inspect, warranty and storage
Please inspect the goods immediately upon receipt and report any complaint as soon as possible, for perishable food ideally within 24 hours per clause 7. Otherwise the provisions of the Swiss Code of Obligations apply. In the case of justified defects we provide a free replacement or refund the price. Store the products after delivery according to the label; we accept no responsibility for damage caused by improper storage after delivery. Ingredients and allergens are stated on the product label; the label of the delivered product is authoritative.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for slight negligence and for indirect and consequential damage. Mandatory statutory liability, in particular under the Swiss Product Liability Act, and liability for intent and gross negligence remain reserved.
10. Data protection
Information on the processing of your personal data can be found in our privacy policy on casaflorio.ch.
11. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
Swiss law applies, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The place of jurisdiction is [PLATZHALTER: seat of the company]; mandatory statutory places of jurisdiction, in particular for consumers, remain reserved.
12. Final provisions
Should any provision of these terms be invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force. We may amend these terms at any time; the version published at the time of your order applies to your order. The German version of these terms is legally binding; the Italian and English versions are courtesy translations.
